Rose Stoughton, daughter of Anthony Stoughton and Agnes Purse, was born probably shortly before her baptism at Worplesdon, Surrey, England, 22 November 1629.1,2,3 She died at Dover, Strafford Co., New Hampshire, before 3 July 1677, when her husband Richard Otis gave a bond of £500 as guardian to John Heard, his step-son by reason of his marriage to John's mother.4,1,5
