Sir Roger de Mortimer, Knt., son of Ralph de Mortimer and Gwladus Ddu, was born at Cwmaron Castle, Wales, about 1231.1 He died at Kingsland, Herefordshire, England, before 6 November 1282,2 and was buried at Wigmore, Herefordshire, England.2

Roger married Maud de Braose, daughter of Sir William de Braose, Knt., 6th Baron de Braose and Eve Marshal, in 1247.1
