Ambrose Lilly, Gent., whose ancestry is unknown (or not traced here), died before 25 June 1772, when he was buried at White Notley, Essex, England.1

Ambrose married Sarah Moss, daughter of Edward Moss and Sarah (…), at Gestingthorpe, Essex, England, 28 June 1748.2

Ambrose left a will dated May 1772, and proved 6 August 1772. It's long, complex, and not yet completely abstracted or transcribed. He states his will was written on 10 sheets of paper, but when written into the record books of the PCC, it was 16 (and the writing is tiny). He mentions daughter Sarah, wife of William Wynyard and at least two of her children: Ambrose Lilly Wynyard and her youngest daughter Sarah. Also a cousin, William Lilly.3
