John de Brewes, lord of Gower, son of William de Brewes and Maud de Clare, was born about 1197.1 He was killed by a fall from his horse near Bramber, Sussex, England, before 16 July 1232.1

John married Margaret of Wales, daughter of Llywelyn ap Iorwerth, in 1219.1
