Sir William Willoughby, K.G., 5th Lord Willoughby of Eresby, son of Sir Robert de Willoughby, Knt., 4th Lord Willoughby of Ersby and Margery la Zouche, was born say 1370.1 He died at Edgefield, Norfolk, England, 4 December 1409.1 Both he and his 1st wife were buried at Spilsby, Lincolnshire, England.2

William married (1) Lucy le Strange, daughter of Sir Roger le Strange, Knt., 5th Lord Strange of Knockin and Aline de Arundel, Lady Strange, after 3 January 1382/83;1 he married (2) Joan Holand, Duchess of York, daughter of Sir Thomas de Holand, K.G., 2nd Earl of Kent, Lord Holand, 6th Lord Wake and Alice de Arundel.1
