Joseph Ashley, son of David Ashley and Hannah Glover, was born at Westfield, Hampden Co., Massachusetts, 31 July 1671.1 He died at Westfield, 25 February 1706.1

Joseph married Abigail Dewey, daughter of Thomas Dewey and Constant Hawes, 12 April 1699.1

Joseph Ashley was a farmer in Little River District.1
