Captain James Miles, son of Major Thomas Miles and Abigail Mix, was born at Wallingford, Connecticut, 18 December 1713.1 He died at Wallingford, 17 January 1766.1

James married Phebe Thompson, daughter of John Thompson and Sarah Culver, at Wallingford 10 January 1733.1
