Abigail Mitchell, daughter of Matthew Mitchell and Susan Wood, was born probably shortly before her baptism at Southowram, Halifax, Yorkshire, England, 26 April 1618.1,2,3 She died before 5 June 1696, when she was mentioned as "Mrs. Abrahm Pierson, dec'd" in a grant of land to John Morris.4 She was buried at Newark, Essex Co., New Jersey.5

Abigail married Reverend Abraham Pierson, whose ancestry is unknown (or not traced here), about 1641.6,2,7,5,8
