Goosen married (1) Geertie van Nieuwkerk, daughter of Brant Peelen van Nieuwkerk, say 1648;4,2,3 he married (2) Annetje Lavesen, whose parents are also unknown (or untraced); at Albany, July 1657.4,2,3
First appears in Albany in 1652.
Before he married his second wife in 1657, he made a contract to reserve from his estate 6000 guilders for his four eldest children by his first wife, that being her separate estate.
Owned land at Esopus in 1663. See deed book C in county clerks office and Vol I common council Minutes.
In 1664, he and Phillip Pieterse Schuyler had permission to purchase the Halve Maan of the Indians to prevent "thoseof Connecticut" from purchasing it. Also that year he bought a lot 6R by 4R from his stepfather Reyer Elbertse, on the north corner of Columbia Street and Broadway.
In 1668 he and Annatje made a joint will as he was leaving for Holland and mentioned the currently living children.
In 1675 he and Pieter Lassingh purchased Harmen Rutger's brewery on the Exchange block.5,2
