Pierre II de Courtenay, Emperor of Constantinople, son of Pierre of France, seigneur of Courtenay and Elizabeth de Courtenay, was born in 1155.1 He died in captivity at Epirus, Greece, about 2 October 1219.1,2

Pierre married (1) Agnès of Nevers, daughter of Guy I, Count of Nevers and Mathilde of Burgundy, in 1184;2 he married (2) Yolande of Flanders, daughter of Baldwin V, Count of Flanders and Hainault and Margarite of Lorraine, before 1 July 1193.1,2
