Sir John de Mowbray, Knt., 2nd Lord Mowbray, son of Sir Roger de Mowbray, Knt. and Rose de Clare, was born 4 September 1286.1 He was taken prisoner at the Battle of Boroughbridge, 16 March 1321/2, taken to York where he was hanged, 23 March 1321/22,1 and later buried at the church of the Dominican Friars, York, Yorkshire, England.1

John married Aline de Brewes, daughter of Sir William de Brewes, Knt., 2nd Lord Brewes and Agnes (…), at Swansea, Glamorgan, Wales, before 29 November 1297.1
