Isaac Amsden was in New England by 1647 when his name appears in the inventory of Nathaniel Sparhawk.

Isaac was a mason by trade. His estate papers show he owned twelve acres of land on the south side of the Charles River.

Church records show the christening date for sons Isaac and Jacob as Nov 1661, following his widow's becoming a member of the church.6,7
