Margaret Sheafe, daughter of Richard Sheafe and Margery Roberts, was born probably shortly before her baptism at Cranbrook, Kent, England, 21 May 1598.1,2,3 She died at Greenwich, Connecticut, 26 April 1682.4,3,2
Margaret married, as his 2nd wife, Robert Kitchell, son of John Kitchell and Joan Jordan, at St. Mary Brendin, Canterbury, Kent, England, 21 June 1631.3,1,2,5
After living at Guilford as a widow for several years, in 1678, Margaret's son-in-law, Rev. Jeremiah Peck, was called to the church at Greenwich, Connecticut. Margaret went with them, and died there, 26 April 1682.4
Margaret left a will dated 2 December 1679, and proved 7 November 1682:
The inventory was taken by John Bower and Joshua Knapp of Greenwich, 16 May 1682. The estate was valued at £32 2s 10d but indebted to her son Jeremiah Peck for £18 9s 8d and by her grandchildren's legacies for £45.
Jeremiah Peck declined to be Executor and administration was granted to Mr. Jeremiah Peck, Joshua Knapp, Sr., and John Reynolds, Sr., all of Greenwich.6

Last Will and Testament of Margaret Ketchell being in soundness of understanding but weake in body, and being ancient . . .
son Ketchell and daughter Peck to pay equally Margaret's debts "they having been made sharers in my husband's estate since his decease . . .
out of her estate all the legasies expressed in my husband Mr. Robert Ketchill's will be payed, viz: to all and only to the grandchildren that were in being at their grandfather's death, but in case I should live to expend my estate and ther should be a want of estate to pay the abovesaid legasies, in consideration that my son Ketchell and my daughter Peck have received and may receive sundry gifts from me since their father'sdeath, I do will that my son Ketchell do pay his children their legasies, and that my daughter Peck do pay her chilren their legasies given them by their grandfather, and in Consideration of sundry reasons and difficulties, I do foresse my son Ktchell and my daughter Peck may pay the whole, or part of these legasies, in any current pay apprized to the children by indifferent men
to my son Ketchell my great bible and silver Tankered if I do not live to spend them for my own need.
To my daughter Peck all the rest of my silver and plate in case I do no live to spend it for my own need.
To daughter Peck the entire remaining estate
if son Ketchell dies before he takes possession of his legacies, the legacies go to his four children
if daughter Peck Ketchell dies before she takes possession of her legacies, the legacies go to her seven children
