Abraham Kitchell, son of Samuel Kitchell and Grace Pierson, was born at Newark, Essex Co., New Jersey, about 1679.1,2 He died at Hanover, Morris Co., New Jersey, 2 December 1742, at age 62, and was buried at Whippany, Morris Co., New Jersey.2,3
Abraham married Sarah Bruen, daughter of John Bruen and Esther Lawrence, at Newark about 1703.1
He apparently left an unprobated will by which he provided for wife Sarah, gave the homestead to David, the youngest son. Abraham also specified specific amounts to other heirs:
