Hester Stephens, daughter of Thomas Stephens and Elizabeth Cook, was born at Southampton, Suffolk Co., New York, 28 February 1678/79.1 She died 18 January 1753,2 and was buried at the North End Graveyard, Southampton, Suffolk Co., New York.3

Hester married Samuel Johnes, son of Samuel Johnes and Sarah (…), before 1698 when she is shown as Ester Johnes in the household of Samuel Johnes, along with two Johnes chldren, Samuell Johnes, jur, and Phebe Johnes.4,5
