Margaret Plantagenet illegitimate daughter of Edward IV, King of England, was born probably about 1462.1

Margaret married Thomas Lumley, Esq., M.P., son of Sir George Lumley, Knt., M.P., 3rd Lord Lumley and Elizabeth Thornton, before 1477.2,3,4,5

Commonly seen as Elizabeth, Richardson explains that her name was Margaret.

Verity shows that Margaret's mother is unknown, and not the traditional "Elizabeth Wayt" of whom there appear to be no contemporary records. Two likely candidates are an Alice Wayte, mother of Margaret's brother or half-brother, Arthur Plantagenet, Viscount Lisle, or perhaps Margaret (Fitzlewis) Lucy, widow of Sir William Lucy, Knt.5,6
