ChartsAncestors of Edward Ambrose Cooke
Thomas Hallock, son of William Hallock and Margaret Howell, died at Southold, Suffolk Co., New York, 19 March 1717/18.1

Thomas married Hope Comstock, daughter of Daniel Comstock and Paltiah Elderkin, about 1680.2,3

The Hallock Genealogy gives two children, Hope and Mehitable, who are not in Thomas' family as shown in Southold's List of Inhabitants for 1698. No evidence is given for their placement. There seems to be no record whatsoever for Hope, though Mehitable is of record when she marries in 1723. This arrangement of the children is based on their order in the inhabitants list, not as given in the Hallock Genealogy.4,2
