Samuel married (1) Dorothy Harlakenden, daughter of Thomas Harlakenden, at Earl's Colne, Essex, England, 2 April 1617;1,2,3 he married (2), as her 2nd husband, Martha Reade, daughter of Edmund Reade and Elizabeth Cooke, at Wickford, Essex, England, in 1637;2,3 he married (3), as her 4th husband, Rebecca Swayne, whose ancestry is unknown (or not traced here), in April 1663.4,2,3

First purchased land in New England at Ipswich on 3 Sep 1637.
