Nathan Topping Cook, son of David Cook and Hannah Topping, was born in 1768.1 He died 13 January 1822,1 and was buried at the Hayground Cemetery, Bridgehampton, Suffolk Co., New York.2

Nathan married Mary Howell, daughter of David Howell and Mehetabel Halsey.1,3

Nathan left a will dated 29 August 1816, and proved 20 May 1822:
Dower and bequests to wife, not named;
legacies to three sons: David Howell, Lyman, and Alanson
three daughters: Mehetabel, Phebe, and Adeline;
Residuary estate to son Richard Williams Cook who is to pay legacies;
Executors: wife, her brother Levi Howell, son Richard.
witnesses: Samuel Cook, David Haynes, Jeremiah Haynes, Samuel H. Rose.4
