Nathan Topping Cook, son of David Cook and Hannah Topping, was born in 1768.¹ He died 13 January 1822,¹ and was buried at the Hayground Cemetery, Bridgehampton, Suffolk Co., New York.²

Nathan married Mary Howell, daughter of David Howell and Mehetabel Halsey.^1,3

Nathan left a will dated 29 August 1816, and proved 20 May 1822:

Dower and bequests to wife, not named;
legacies to three sons: David Howell, Lyman, and Alanson
three daughters: Mehetabel, Phebe, and Adeline;
Residuary estate to son Richard Williams Cook who is to pay legacies;
Executors: wife, her brother Levi Howell, son Richard.
witnesses: Samuel Cook, David Haynes, Jeremiah Haynes, Samuel H. Rose.⁴
