Sarah Pettit, whose parents are unknown, was born about 1794.1 She died 24 May 1854,1 and was buried at Cedar Hill Cemetery and Mausoleum, Newburgh, Orange Co., New York.1

Sarah married Charles Alexander Johnes, son of William Johnes and Charlotte Pierson.2
