Elizabeth Jane Salter, daughter of John Salter, was born in 1781.1 She died 21 April 1857,1 and was buried at the First Methodist Meeting House Burial Grounds, Manahawkin, Ocean Co., New Jersey.1

Elizabeth married, as his 2nd wife, Silas Cook, son of John Cook and Sarah Parrot, at Pequanack, Morris Co., New Jersey, 17 January 1799.2,1

In her marriage record, her father wrote her given name as Elizabeth; her name is Jane on her gravestone.
