Sir John Constable, Knt., son of Sir William Constable, Knt. and Elizabeth Metham, was born say 1395.1 He died before 17 January 1450/51, when his will was proved.2 His will requested burial at Halsham, Yorkshire, England.2

John married, as her 2nd husband, Margaret Umfreville, daughter of Sir Thomas Umfreville, Knt. and Agnes Gray, before 26 April 1423.3
