Elizabeth Metham married Sir William Constable, Knt., son of Sir John Constable, Knt. and Maud Hylton.1,2,3

Various pedigree charts and visitations show the wife of William Constable to be Elizabeth Metham, daughter of Sir Thomas Metham by several different wives. No dates are given for Elizabeth, and the visitations that show her were taken 100-200 years after she was living. There appear to be no contemporaneous records of her ancestry, or even of her first name.4,5
