Sir Thomas Metham, Knt., son of Richard Metham, Esq. and Margaret Babthorpe, was born about 1442 being aged 30 years and more at the I. P. M. of his grandfather Metham (1472).1 He died 12 September 1498.1

Thomas married (1) Anne Tempest, daughter of Sir John Tempest, Knt. and Alice Sherburne;2,3 he married (2), as his 2nd wife, Isabell Hildyard, daughter of Sir Robert Hildyard, Knt. and Katherine de la Hay.2
