Solomon Gardner, son of Richard Gardner and Mary Austin, was born at Nantucket, Nantucket Co., Massachusetts, 1 July 1680.1 He died at Nantucket, 17 June 1760.2

Solomon married Anna Coffin, daughter of Stephen Coffin and Mary Bunker, say 1705.3,4

Solomon left a will dated 13 August 1753, and proved 1 July 1760 calling himself "well as to bodily health", naming no wife but
daughters Elizabeth Swain, Sarah Joy, Mary Worth & Dinah Macy
sons Reuben, David, Stephen, Richard, Solomon, & Paul Gardner
the sons to be joint executors.

The estate was appraised at 393-13-4 comprised of Real Estate, 40 Sheep and 20 lambs, and 5/12 of a share of the old wharf.5
