Margaret Metcalf
Margaret Metcalf, daughter of Sir James Metcalf, Knt., High Sheriff of Yorkshire and Margaret Pigot, died before 10 June 1566, when her estate was inventoried.1
Margaret married Sir William de Hylton, Knt., son of Sir William Hylton, Knt., de jure 9th Lord Hylton and Sybil Lumley.1,2
In her will, she mentions her son William and his wife Ann; daughters Elizabeth, wife of Marmaduke Thurkell, Dorothy, wife of Michael Constable, and Helen. Also, underage chiildren: Robert, Roger, Ralph, Sibyl, and Margery; brothers Sir William Metcalfe, and Oswald Metcalfe.3
