William Hylton, Knt., de jure 7th Lord Hylton, son of Sir Robert Hylton, Knt., de jure 6th Lord Hylton and Maud de Clifford, was born about 1408, being aged 40 and more at his father's death.1 He died 13 October 1457,1 and was buried at Hilton Chapel, Durham, England.1

William married Mary Stapleton, daughter of William Stapleton and Margaret Vipont, before 20 January 1438/39.1
