Sir Robert Hylton, Knt., de jure 6th Lord Hylton, son of Sir William Hylton, Knt., 5th Lord Hylton and Denise de Hylton, was born about 1385, being aged 50 and more at his father's death.1 He died 11 August 1448.1

Robert married (1) Maud de Clifford, daughter of Sir Roger de Clifford, Knt., 5th Lord Clifford and Maud de Beauchamp, before 13 April 1398;1 he married (2), as her 5th husband, Elizabeth (…), whose ancestry is unknown (or not traced here), before 22 April 1445.2
