Sir John Darcy, Knt., 2nd Lord Darcy of Knaith, son of Sir John Darcy, Knt., 1st Lord Darcy of Knaith and Emmeline Heron, was born about 1317.1 He died at Norton, Yorkshire, England, 5 March 1355/56,2 and was buried at Guisborough Priory, Yorkshire, England.2

John married (1) Eleanor de Holand, daughter of Sir Robert de Holand, Knt., 1st Lord Holand and Maud La Zouche, before 8 July 1332;1 he married (2) Elizabeth Meinill, daughter of Sir Nicholas de Meinill, Knt., Lord Meinill of Whorlton and Alice de Roos, about 7 January 1344/45.1
