Sir Robert de Holand, Knt., 1st Lord Holand, son of Sir Robert de Holand, Knt. and Elizabeth de Samlesbury, was born about 1283.1,2 He was beheaded by allies of Thomas, Earl of Lancaster, after being captured in Boreham Wood, Herts, 7 October 1328,1,2 and was buried at Grey Friars, Preston, Lancashire, England.1

Robert married Maud La Zouche, daughter of Sir Alan La Zouche, Knt. and Eleanor de Segrave, before 13 May 1306.1,2,3
