Maud Holand, daughter of Sir Robert de Holand, Knt., 1st Lord Holand and Maud La Zouche, was born after 1310.1 She probably died sometime after 1346, when her husband Thomas appears as lord of a manor she held for life from her first husband, but before 10 May 1380, by which time that manor had reverted to the possession of the Mowbray family.1

As a child, Maud was married to (1) Sir John de Mowbray, Knt., 3rd Lord Mowbray, son of Sir John de Mowbray, Knt., 2nd Lord Mowbray and Aline de Brewes, before 26 February 1321/22;2 their marriage was later voided;2 she married (2) Sir Thomas de Swinnerton, Knt., 3rd Lord Swinnerton, son of Sir Roger de Swinnerton, Knt., 1st Lord Swynnerton and Maud Haughton, after 1331.3,1
