Thibaut I, Count of Bar, son of Renaud II "le Jeune," Count of Bar and Agnès of Blois, was born about 1060.1 He died about 12 February 1214.2

Thibaut married (1) Laurette of Looz, Dame of Longwy, about 1176;3 he married (2) Hermesende of Bar-sur-Seine, daughter of Guy I, Count of Bar-sur-Seine and Pétronille de Chacenay, about 1189;4 they later divorced, about 1195;3 he married (3) Ermesinde of Luxembourg, Countess of Luxembourg, daughter of Henry III "the Blind," Count of Luxemburg and Agnes of Geldern and Zütphen, 1197.5
