Hermesende married (1) Anseau III, seigneur of Trainel, etc., Butler of Champagne, whose ancestry is unknown (or not traced here);2 they later divorced in 1188;2 she married (2), as his 2nd wife, Thibaut I, Count of Bar, son of Renaud II "le Jeune," Count of Bar and Agnès of Blois, about 1189;1 they later divorced about 1195.2
