John Cook "alias Butcher", son of Thomas Cooke "alias Butcher" and Mary (…), was born probably shortly before his baptism at St. Mary, Netherbury, Dorset, England, 30 March 1630.1 He died at Portsmouth, Newport Co., Rhode Island, 16 May 1691.1 Both he and his wife were buried at Glen Farm, Portsmouth, Newport Co., Rhode Island.2,3

John married Mary Borden, daughter of Richard Borden and Joane Fowle, whose ancestry is known, but not yet traced here, about 1652.1
