Margaret Leyland, daughter of Sir William Leyland, Knt. and Anne Singleton, married (1) Thomas Parr, Esq., son of Bryan Parr and Elizabeth Shakerley, before 1540;1,2 she married (2) John Byrom, whose ancestry is unknown (or not traced here), before 1560.3

That her father was Sir William Leyland, Knt. is based on Thomas Parr's will where he appointed "…my right worshipfull brother in lawe Thoms Leylonde Esquyer supvisor…." of the execution of his will. Thomas is shown to be the son of Sir William in VCH Lancaster.4,5
