William Carner, son of John Gaspard Carner and Susanna Dupree, was born at King William Parish, Manakin, Henrico Co., Virginia, 17 October 1722.1 He died at Buckingham Co., Virginia, about 1785.2

William married his unknown first wife before 1748;3 he married (2) Lucy (…), whose ancestry is unknown (or not traced here), say 1770.2

William and his brother, John Daniel, joined together to buy 200 acres, "to be equally divided among them . . . as they shall think fit..." William was apparently married by this time as the deed is to "William and his heirs", while specifying only John Daniel as the other partner. The deed does not state that they are brothers.3

In 1744, he is listed together with his brother, as a member of King William Parish.4
