Mehitable Ormsby, daughter of Jeremiah Ormsby and Mehitabel Wilmarth, was born at Rehoboth, Bristol Co., Massachusetts, 7 September 1710.1 She died at Warren, Bristol Co., Rhode Island, about 1806, when her will was recorded.2
Mehitable married Thomas Jolls, son of Robert Jolls and Experience (…), at Bristol, Bristol Co., Rhode Island, 15 March 1732/33.3
In 1782, she is lsted in the Rhode Island census next to her son Robert as "Widow Jolls," with one female over 50, and three blacks.4
Mehitable Ormsby left a will dated at Rehoboth, 22 January 1790, but recorded at the probate court of Warren, Bristol Co., Rhode Island, sometime after 1800. In it she named:
