Caleb Knapp, son of Nicholas Knapp and Elinor (…), was born at Watertown, Middlesex Co., Massachusetts, 20 February 1636/37.1,2,3 He died at Stamford, Connecticut, between 2 December 1674 and 4 March 1675.4

Caleb married Hannah Smith, daughter of Henry Smith, at Stamford about 1661.5,2,4,6,3

Caleb was admitted Freeman at Stamford in 1669/71. He wrote his will 2 December (or 10 November) 1674 and the inventory was taken 2 March 1674/5. In his father's will he is called "John Calep." He was probably a weaver by trade as his father left him his "loom and half of the geers."1
