Ambrose Wheeler Cook, son of Dr. Ambrose Ellis Cook, MD and Sarah Piersall Wheeler, was born at Bound Brook, Somerset Co., New Jersey, 9 September 18081,2 and baptized there, 11 June 1809.1 He died 9 May 1833 and was buried in the Old Brick Reformed Church Cemetery, Marlboro, Monmouth Co., New Jersey.2

Ambrose married Catherine Elizabeth Gansevoort, daughter of Conrad Gansevoort and Elizabeth Roseboom, in 1832.2
