Martha married Lieutenant Abel Wright, whose ancestry is unknown (or not traced here), at Springfield, 1 December 1659.6,5,3,7

She is said to have been scalped by Indians on 26 July 1708, but lived on for several months until October. However, the town vital records state: "was Sicke & died..."3,2
