Sir Edward le Despenser, Knt., son of Sir Hugh le Despenser "the younger," Knt., 2nd Lord Despencer and Eleanor de Clare, was slain at Morlaix, France, 30 September 1342, while serving on an expedition.1

Edward married Anne de Ferrers, daughter of Sir William de Ferrers, Knt., 1st Lord Ferrers of Groby and Margaret de Segrave, at Groby, Leicestershire, England, 20 April 1335.1
