Sir Humphrey de Bohun, Knt., son of Sir Humphrey de Bohun, Knt., 6th Earl of Hereford, 7th Earl of Essex and Maud d'Eu, was taken prisoner at the Battle of Evesham, 4 August 1265. From there he was taken to Beeston Castle, Cheshire, England, where he died 27 October 1265.1 He was buried at Combermere Abbey, Cheshire, England.2

Humphrey married (1) Eleanor de Brewes, daughter of Sir William de Braose, Knt., 6th Baron de Braose and Eve Marshal, before 15 February 1247/48;1 he married (2) Joan de Quincy, daughter of Sir Robert de Quincy, Knt. and Ellen of Wales, before 7 October 1264.1
