Joan de Verdun, daughter of Sir Thebaud de Verdun, Knt., 2nd Lord Verdun and Maud de Mortimer, was born at Wootton in Stanton Lacy, Shropshire, England, about 11 August 1303.1 She died at Alton, Shropshire, England, 2 October 1334.2

Joan married (1) John de Montagu, whose ancestry is unknown (or not traced here);1 she married (2) Sir Thomas de Furnival Knt., 2nd Lord Furnival, son of Sir Thomas de Furnival, Knt., 1st Lord Furnival and Joan le Despenser, 24 February 1317/18.1
