Sir Thebaud de Verdun, Knt., 2nd Lord Verdun, son of Sir Thebaud de Verdun, Knt., 1st Lord Verdun and Margery de Bohun, was born 15 September 1278.1 He died at Alton, Staffordshire, England, 27 July 1316,2 and was buried at Croxden Abbey, Staffordshire, England.1

Thebaud married (1) Maud de Mortimer, daughter of Sir Edmund de Mortimer, Knt., 1st Lord Mortimer and Margaret de Fiennes, Lady Mortimer, at Wigmore, Herefordshire, England, 29 July 1302;1 he married (2), as her 2nd husband, Elizabeth de Clare, daughter of Sir Gilbert de Clare, Knt., 6th Earl of Gloucester and Joan of England, at Bristol, Gloucestershire, England, 4 February 1315/16.1
