Elizabeth de Clare, daughter of Sir Gilbert de Clare, Knt., 6th Earl of Gloucester and Joan of England, was born at Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire, England, 16 September 1295.1 She died 4 November 1360.2 She was buried with her 3rd husband at St Mary's, Ware, Herfordshire, England, although in her will she requested burial in the Convent of the Minoresses without Aldgate, London.2

Elizabeth married (1) John de Burgh, son of Sir Richard de Burgh, Knt., 3rd Earl of Ulster and Margaret (…), at Waltham Abbey, Essex, England, 30 September 1308;3 she married (2), as his 2nd wife, Sir Thebaud de Verdun, Knt., 2nd Lord Verdun, son of Sir Thebaud de Verdun, Knt., 1st Lord Verdun and Margery de Bohun, at Bristol, Gloucestershire, England, 4 February 1315/16;1 she married (3) Sir Roger Damory Knt., Lord Damory, whose ancestry is unknown (or not traced here), before 3 May 1317.1
