Charles II of Salerno "the lame," King of Jerusalem, son of Charles of Anjou, King of Jerusalem and Sicily, Count of Anjou and Beatrice of Provence, was born in 1254.1 He died at Casanuova, Naples, Italy, 5 May 1309.2 He was first buried at Friars Preachers, Naples, Italy,2and later reinterred at Notre-Dame de Nazareth, Aix-en-Provence, France.2

Charles married Marie of Hungary, Queen of Hungary, daughter of Stephen V, King of Hungary and Elisabeth, before June 1270.3,2
