Sir William de Roos, Knt., 3rd Lord Roos of Helmsley, son of Sir William de Roos, Knt., 2nd Lord Roos of Helmsley and Margery de Badlesmere, was born at Frieston, Lincolnshire, England, 19 May 1329.1 He died before 3 December 1352.2

William married Margaret de Neville, daughter of Sir Ralph de Neville, Knt., 2nd Lord Neville of Raby and Alice de Audley, about 28 August 1339.1
