Alfonso X of Castile-León "el Sabio," Knt., King of Castile, etc., son of Saint Fernando III, King of Castile and Beatriz of Swabia, was born at Toledo, Spain, 23 November 1221.1 He died at Seville, Spain, 4 April 1284.1

Alfonso married Violanté of Aragon, daughter of Jaime I "el Conquistador," King of Aragon and Yolande of Hungary, 26 November 1248.1

Alfonso also had several mistresses, and one is known: Mayor Guillèn de Guzmán, daughter of Guillén Pérez de Guzmán, señor of Becilla.1
