Konrad II, Duke of Swabia, whose ancestry is unknown (or not traced here), was born in 1177.1 He was assassinated at Durlach, Karlsruhe, Germany, 15 August 1196.1

Konrad married Berenguela I of Castile "la Grande," Queen of Castile and Toledo, daughter of Alfonso VIII "el Noble," King of Castile and Eleanor of England, at Seligenstadt, Hesse, Germany, 23 April 1188;2 they later divorced, before 1196.2
