Mary Chesebrough, daughter of Samuel Chesebrough and Priscilla Alden, was born at Stonington, Connecticut, 21 September 17021 and baptized at the First Congregational Church, Stonington, Connecticut, 15 July 1705.1 She died at Stonington, 12 October 1754,2,1 and was buried at Old Plains Cemetery, Stonington, Connecticut.2

Mary married Captain Joseph Hewitt, son of Benjamin Hewitt and Marie Fanning, at Stonington 5 October 1720.1

15 October 1727, the First Church of Stonington dismissed and recommended her to the Church of Christ in North Stonington.3
